I
will be involved in this fifth edition of the festival
with a lot of pride and enthusiasm since beyond my status
of regular visitor and of manager of a firm belonging
to the image world, I have accepted to take the chair
of this beautiful adventure: Transphotographiques.
To the request of Olivier Spillebout,
I thus join this project which already surprised us
so much in the past, and which will, undoubtedly, offer
us numerous pleasures right from this month of May,
2005.
The official programming, conducted
by Anne de Mondenard, will explore in a more precise
way an approach outlined in 2004 by Jean Luc Monterosso.
Through this set of themes of territory, it gathers,
following the course being that of the festival since
its creation in 2001, young artists who, for some of
them, will exhibit for the first time on our territory.
But also prestigious names such as Raymond Depardon,
who will present his original vision of Nord-Pas de
Calais region at the Hospice Comtesse, or Paolo Roversi
who will exhibit the territory of "his studio"
at the Fine Arts Palace of Lille.
How not to rejoice with seeing,
just after Lille 2004, so many institutional and cultural
partners, patrons and artists, mobilise to escort Transphotographiques
in their development…
Image, Photography, occupying
a growing place in the common environment of each of
us, I offer you to fully enjoy what this 5th edition
of the festival has to offer us, in Lille, and on the
whole Euroregional territory.
