He was also in charge of the strategy and the horizontal management structure cooperations of the PPR group. He's a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and ENA (prestigious college training senior civil servants) and started his career in the ministry of finance in the department of the treasury responsible for auditing public bodies. "I'm going to live through this 5th edition of the festival with a lot of pride and enthusiasm since, not only am I both a regular visitor and the manager of an image related company, but I also accepted to become the president of this beautiful adventure: the Transphotographiques.
On Olivier's request, I joined this project that surprised us so much in the past and which definitely still has a lot of pleasure to offer as of may 2005. The official program supervised by Anne de Mondennard will be an in depth exploration of the approach outlined by Jean-Luc Monterosso in 2004.
The program which has for theme "the territory" gathers young artists among whom some will exhibit their works for the first time on our territory. This perspective perfectly matches the festival's objective since it was created in 2001.
We'll meet prestigious artists such as Raymond Depardon who exhibits his vision of the Nord-Pas-De-Calais (which has never been seen before) in the Hospice Comtesse, or Paolo Roversi who exhibits his "studio"'s territory at the Palais des Beaux arts de Lille( Lille's palace of fine arts). How can one not be happy to see, after Lille 2004, so many institutional and cultural sponsors, patrons and artists joining forces to support the Transphotographiques in its development?
Given image -especially photography- is becoming more and more important in our daily family lives, I invite you to take the most of what this edition has to offer to us, to Lille and to all the euro-regional territory"
